We begin with education of parent on the nervous system since that is our foundation. It is important to understand the WHY of what we do and HOW it will bring about change. Exercises, tools and strategies will be taught to parent and child simultaneously. for consistency and carryover. The first step is always building a FELT sense of safety in both the parent’s and child’s body.

PARENT ONLY
Sometimes it may be necessary to have a “parent only” session in order to address any underlying and unresolved wounds or experiences that are affecting the parent’s nervous system and/or that have been transmitted to the child. The more the parent heals their nervous system and releases stored trauma and emotions, the more the child can experience safety and healing in their body.

Biochemistry
In addition to completing exercises to regulate the nervous system and using somatic (body work) exercises, we also will explore your child’s (and yours if requested) biochemistry. A hair sample can be analyzed to determine any deficit or excess of macro and microminerals in the body (common for those diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and Autism). Other lab tests will show common biochemical imbalances for those experiencing attention difficulty and irritable behavior.

What you’ll get
Weekly 30-60 minute, 1-on-1 sessions, for parent and/or child
Weekly email recapping session highlighting important points and reminders of what to work on in between sessions
Summary and interpretation of initial intake forms
Additional assessments as needed (can include information for biochemical imbalances, neurotransmitter assessment, early childhood attachment, emotional eating)
